Lexi relishes in both the science and the art of baking. She uses expert techniques and meticulous precision to bring her pastry creations to life, including some of her personal favorites: cakes, entremets, and bon bons. Educated at the Art Institute of Tennessee-Nashville, where she received her associate’s degree in baking and pastry, Lexi spent three years in Hawaii as a pastry cook for Norwegian Cruise Line before returning to Nashville with her husband in 2016. Since then, her pastry career has led her to produce delicacies at some of Music City’s finest establishments: Gaylord Opryland Resort, Caviar and Bananas, and Loews Hotels. She joined JP Events in July 2020. Now, she enjoys developing new and enchanting flavors, while keeping up with the most exciting dessert trends.
“Being a pastry chef is much more than just making cupcakes. It is being precise in scaling ingredients and measuring lengths and widths. It is placing that one rose in the perfect spot on a cake with 24k gold leaf. It is every little exact detail that brings it to life.”
