These Tips Can Transform Any Wedding Reception in a Dream Come True

By JP Events Staff

Your wedding reception should be amazing.

Why?

Because this is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of event. It’s something you don’t do every day. It’s a completely unique day in your life, and you deserve the very best. Your love story deserves it!

How to transform any kind of Tennessee wedding reception venue in a wedding dream come true? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  • Lighting. No matter how basic your wedding venue may be, lighting can instantly lift it up. Use fairy lights if you want to create a whimsical atmosphere at your wedding (they work best with outdoor weddings, but can work very well with an indoor wedding as well). Use modern (e.g. Gobo) lights if you want to create a contemporary fairytale-like ambiance. Use candles or lanterns for a romantic atmosphere, and use paper lanterns for a bit of playfulness.
  • Flowers. You don’t have to limit yourself with just the table centerpiece. On the contrary, diversifying your wedding florals can really help you create a fantastic wedding décor. For instance, you could use flowers as wedding table liners. Or you could use them as hanging ornaments over the wedding tables. Or you could alternate different types of centerpieces on the tables. Play around with this and find your own unique style!
  • Tent. Planning an outdoor, tent wedding? Draping the ceiling can completely transform the space from a basic tent into a whimsical, fairytale-like location where all your wedding dreams come true. Plus, if the tent is too tall, draping it will allow you to create a more intimate, welcoming space for your guests.
  • Details. Great design lies in the details – the table linens, the wedding signs, the little jokes you sprinkle throughout your different wedding reception spaces, and so on. Don’t be afraid to play with the details – and most importantly, don’t be afraid to bring your own story and personality into the mix. For instance, wedding table numbers can easily become the names of your favorite places in the word. It’s a small thing, but it can add so much to your wedding!
